9’0” fibre-(X) & 6’6” hemp/ carbon widow hull

9’0” x 18 1/8 x 22 3/4 x 14 1/8” x 2 5/8”  Fibre (X) coated peformance planck single concave to vee panels for Tom.

6′ 6” x twill carbon displacement widow-hull with hemp tail patch softening the flex in the tail loading up energy in the back foot. Sucken deck for intimacy and sensitivity to the flow.  2 3/4 with 3 1/8” ballast rails flowing in to soft pinched blades, for Graham.

In-cuts: hemp twin & carbon quad

6′ 9” x 21 1/4 x 2 15/16: 2xtwill carbon in-cut with single concave

to vee panels through the tail & vee swallow/ quad. The quad is fitted

so the fins sit heel to the ball of the foot for increased sensitivity; hand-

built for Martin.

Also a 5′ 9” x 1.75” (center thickness) incut made entirely from surplus

off-cut material and reused fins boxes featuring 2. 15 ballast rails with

soft-flex hemp deck/ bottom, twill perimeter stiff-flex carbon rails, scoop

deck, incut, with single con/hull and parallel set twin fins. The Carbon

waste cloth is used to stiffen up the rocker-line keeping it true under

compression. The hemp waste cloth has a beautiful soft-flex very for-

giving and cushioning and helps to load up energy through the back foot.

9’0″ & 6’2″ Modular Carbons

9′ 0” for Evan Rogers in Saltburn. Also a 6′ 2”, for Alex – ‘fish’ inspired modular carbon.
On an entirely different note: Hemp for surfboard construction offers superior material gains and environmental gains, but
carbon used as part of a complex modular reinforcement offers exceptional strength to weight ratio. Although this is highly de-
pendent on the particular quality of the fabric and the production process constituting the fabrics abilty to perform.  Durability is at
the heart of my construction ethic, an extension of which is material science. For ethical considerations Plancks are not
available in the commercial sense(-;
